elevateHER is growing into its next phase and welcoming a new Executive Director. Working in partnership with public, private, philanthropic, and non-profit stakeholders, the Executive Director will drive strategic priorities, leverage existing funding while securing new funding, and marshal resources to further amplify the work of the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young women by giving them the life skills needed to be healthy, thriving, and successful adults. The succeeding Executive Director will have the privilege of charting elevateHER’s next phase of growth and they will do so with the support of a passionate and highly committed staff and Board of Directors. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will work closely with the team and the Board to build and foster a collaborative leadership approach to directly elevateHER’s empowering mission and strategy. The Lead Outdoor Mentor will aid in implementing both the empowerHER and inspireHER summer programs. empowerHER is primarily day camps with three overnights that runs 10 weeks for local Chaffee County residents. inpsireHER is three 3-day clinics for backpacking, rock climbing, and rafting that are open to any young woman ages 11-17. Approximately 75% of job responsibility will be implementing programming and mentoring program participants while 25% will be spent on administration and program development. This is a full-time, contract position for Summer 2021. Compensation is $600/week. Number of days will vary from week to week based on the programming schedule. Contract will begin May 24th 2021 and run through August 10th, 2021.

The Outdoor Mentor helps to provide leadership and direction in outdoor program curriculum while representing elevateHER in the community. For Summer 2021, Outdoor Mentors will be implementing both overnight and day camp programming working with cohorts of twelve participants of girls ages 11 through 17. Activities will include hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, rafting, and other summer mountain activities. Employment is full-time with hours to vary dependent on programming schedule. Compensation for Outdoor Mentors is $520/week. This is a contract position from May 24th until August 10th.

The Outdoor Mentor Interns work to support the Lead Outdoor Mentors in providing outdoor program curriculum while also representing elevateHER in the community. Approximately 90% of job responsibility will be implementing programming and mentoring program participants while 10% will be spent on administration and program development. Employment is full-time with an expected 32-40 hours a week. Compensation is a stipend of $1000/month and $10/hour for training. Position to start in late May and end August 10th.
