6 Day Overnight Camps
During the elevateHER summer camp, each participant will build technical skills in hiking, rock climbing, and rafting/SUPing, while strengthening important leadership and life-skills. Participants will camp along the Arkansas River outside of beautiful Buena Vista. 6 Days/5 Nights. June 22nd – 27th & July 13th – 18th, 2020

3 Day Backpacking Clinic
Participants will learn the basics of backbacking like proper packing, navigation, layering for outdoor comfort and safety, and backcountry cooking – all while enjoying a three day backpacking trip with other adventurous souls! 3 Days/2 Nights. June 9th – 11th, 2020

3 Day Rock Climbing Clinic
We’ll travel as a group to Rifle Mountain Park, a world-renowned climbing destination for 3 days of climbing and fun car camping. Participants will build foundational climbing skills such as belaying, climber communication, safety, and top rope techniques. 3 Days/2 Nights. June 16th-18th, 2020

3 Day Rafting Mini-Guide School
During this raft guiding mini-guide school, participants will learn the basics of raft guiding on the Arkansas River, with a focus on river communication, water hydrology, self-rescue and safety, and basic guide strokes. Participants will camp along the Arkansas River outside of beautiful Buena Vista. 3 Days/2 Nights. July 22nd – 24th, 2020

EmpowerHER
empowerHER is our marquee summer program for local girls, which runs for 10 weeks June through August. Programming is broken into three blocks: hiking, rock climbing, and rafting. Each block culminates with an overnight trip utilizing the skills developed in the prior weeks. Teamwork, leadership, and life skills are practiced throughout all activities. The programming capstone will be a 4-day rafting trip on the San Juan River the first week of August (85% attendance required to participate in the capstone). Buena Vista cohort meets Monday & Tuesday; Salida cohort meets Wednesday & Thursday. Some Fridays have special programming.
Session starts June 1st and runs through August 7th, 2020
Fee is based on household income.
Fee includes all gear, food, and transportation during the camp.
Scholarships are available for Lake & Chaffee County residents.
